With us Eurojet is a small but clearly defined brand: both models we carry have four jet flames. That makes them meant for work a single flame takes too long over.

Four flames together form a broad hot cone. With that you light charcoal, kindling or a fuse without needing a firelighter first.

One jet flame is a point and works most accurately. As soon as the surface gets bigger, as with briquettes or a thicker piece of wood, that takes time. Four flames spread the heat over a wider area, so the material catches in several places at once.

The trade-off is that you give up accuracy. For a candle wick or the foot of a cigar a broad cone is actually awkward, because you then heat everything around it too.

Adjustable air supply

A slider lets you adjust the ratio between gas and air. With it you set the flame sharper or softer, which is handy if you use it both for the barbecue and for finer work.

Sturdily built

These models are built heavier than a pocket lighter and stay upright. That is pleasant if you set it down in between rather than putting it in your pocket.

Gas consumption

Four flames use roughly four times as much per second as one. So expect to refill more often than with a single flame, especially if you use it for coals.

These models are heavier than a pocket lighter and that is deliberate: they are meant to stay in one place, at the barbecue or the fire bowl. If you want something to carry along, a more compact model with one or two flames gets you further.
