The PyroProducts Wood Splitter is a manual wood splitter made of solid cast iron. Place a log in the splitter, strike the blade with the included hammer, and the wood splits cleanly into two parts. A safer and more precise method than splitting with an axe.

Suitable for making kindling and smaller firewood pieces from wood with a diameter of up to approximately 24 cm. Can be used free-standing on a sturdy surface or fixed in place with the included screws for extra stability. Includes a storage bag for compact storage.

Place a log upright in the splitter’s opening. Strike the wood with the included hammer. The sharp blade splits the wood cleanly into two parts. Repeat for smaller kindling pieces.
The wood splitter has an opening of 24 cm diameter. Wood up to this size fits in the splitter. For best results, use logs up to about 20 cm in diameter. Harder wood types and larger logs require more force with the hammer.
The wood splitter can be used freely on a sturdy surface like a tree stump or solid workbench. For extra stability and splitting harder wood types, we recommend securing the splitter with the included 4 screws.

The black coating offers protection, but for longer life we recommend storing the splitter dry in the included storage bag. Especially after use with wet wood.
