PyroProducts cares deeply about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

 

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided through it by PyroProducts. The effective date of this policy is 18/04/2022; upon publication of a new version, all previous versions become invalid. This privacy policy describes what data we collect about you, how that data is used, and with whom and under what conditions it may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect it against misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you have provided to us.

Webshop software

Shopify

 

Our webshop has been built using Shopify software. Personal data you provide to us in connection with our services is shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data solely to provide us with (technical) support and will never use your data for any other purpose. Under the agreement we have concluded with them, Shopify is obliged to implement appropriate security measures. These measures include the use of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Shopify is a certified processor of credit card data. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information relating to your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored. Shopify reserves the right to share collected data within its own group of companies in order to further improve its services. Shopify complies with the applicable statutory retention periods for (personal) data. The EU/US Privacy Shield applies; your data may be processed in the United States.

We value your privacy and the information you choose to share in connection with our SMS marketing service. We use this information to send you text messages (regarding your order, including abandoned order reminders), text marketing offers, and transactional texts, including review requests.

Our website uses cookies to track which items you have placed in your shopping basket and when you have abandoned your order. This information is used to determine when to send reminder messages via SMS.

ITRGroningen

 

For our regular business email traffic, we use the services of ITRGroningen. This party has implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your data and ours as much as possible. ITRGroningen does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat all email correspondence in strict confidence.

Payment processors

Mollie

 

For processing (part of) the payments in our webshop, we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address, and place of residence, as well as your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in that context, to share (anonymised) data with third parties. All safeguards mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Mollie's services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than permitted under statutory retention periods.

 

Reviews

We collect reviews via the WebwinkelKeur platform. If you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide a name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this data with us so that we can link the review to your order. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name on its own website. When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to ensure your package is delivered to you. We use PostNL to carry out deliveries. Where PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to those parties.

 

DHL

For maintaining our administration and accounting, we use the services of MoneyBird. We share your name, address, and place of residence, along with details relating to your order. This data is used for administering sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored securely; MoneyBird has implemented the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised use. MoneyBird is bound by a duty of confidentiality and will treat your data accordingly. MoneyBird does not use your personal data for any purposes other than those described above.

 

External sales channels

Bol.com

 

We sell (some of) our products via the Bol.com platform. When you place an order through this platform, Bol.com shares your order and personal data with us. We use this data to process your order. We handle your data confidentially and have implemented appropriate technical and


organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised use.

 

 

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of processing

We use your data solely for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the order you place with us. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we wish to use it to contact you at a later stage — other than at your request — we will ask for your explicit consent. Your data will not be shared with third parties, except to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. All such third parties are bound by confidentiality under their agreement with us or by oath or statutory obligation.

In certain circumstances, PyroProducts may be legally required to share your data in connection with a government tax or criminal investigation. In such cases we are compelled to share your data, but we will object to this to the extent permitted by law.

Retention periods

We retain your data for as long as you are a customer. This means we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. Such a request will also be treated as a request to be forgotten. Under applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your (personal) data for the duration of the applicable retention period. However, staff will no longer have access to your customer profile or documents created in connection with your order.

 

Your rights

Under applicable Dutch and European legislation, you as a data subject have certain rights regarding the personal data processed by or on our behalf. We set out below which rights these are and how you can exercise them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we send copies of your data only to the e-mail address already known to us. If you wish to receive the data at a different e-mail address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to provide proof of identity. We keep a record of processed requests; in the case of an erasure request, we retain anonymised data. All copies of your data will be provided in the machine-readable format used within our systems. You always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.

Right of access

You always have the right to inspect the data we process that relate to or can be traced back to you. You may submit a request to that effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a copy of all data to the e-mail address known to us, together with an overview of the processors holding that data and the category under which we have stored it.

Right to rectification

You always have the right to have the data we process that relate to or can be traced back to you corrected. You may submit a request to that effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a confirmation to the e-mail address known to us that the data have been amended.


Right to restriction of processing

You always have the right to restrict the processing of data that relate to or can be traced back to you. You may submit a request to that effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a confirmation to the e-mail address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to data portability

You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you or can be traced back to you transferred to another party. You may submit a request to that effect to our privacy contact. You will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send copies of all data we have processed about you, or that has been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties, to the e-mail address we hold on file for you. In all likelihood, we will no longer be able to continue providing our services in such a case, as the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights

Where applicable, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of PyroProducts. If you raise an objection, we will immediately suspend data processing pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is upheld, we will provide you with copies of the data we process (or have processed) and will permanently cease processing. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in a manner that triggers this right. Our website places cookies from the American company Google as part of its "Analytics" service. We use this service to track and report on how visitors use the website.

This processor may be legally required to provide access to this data under applicable laws and regulations. We have not permitted Google to use the analytics information obtained for other Google services.
